Dermplaning is a form of manual exfoliation to leave your face, neck and chest clear and bright. This treatment uses an implement to slough off dead skin cells as well as peach fuzz. Dermaplaning is a non-invasive exfoliating treatment that is a good alternative to a Microdermabrasion. This process leaves the skin a more refined smooth texture, helps improve the look of scars, smooths out fine lines and wrinkles on the face and gives the skin a fresh glowing appearance. Dermaplanes are ideal for those with rough, dry skin, superficial brown spots, mild acne scars, or fine lines. We are removing layers of dead skin so it also allows for better penetration of home care products and allows your make-up to have a flawless application. We are also increasing firmness, elasticity and collagen production while removing 2-3 weeks’ worth of dead skin cells.

A chemical peel is a treatment used to improve the overall appearance of the face, neck, chest and hands. A chemical solution is applied to the skin for a short period of time that causes the cells to turn over. The type of peel will be determined by your esthetician to give you your optimal results. Once the peel activates and the skin peels, the new regenerated skin will look smoother, lighter, tighter, and brighter.

Peels are categorized into superficial, medium, and a deep peel. The depth of the peel will give an idea of how much peeling is to be expected. Superficial peels are going to exfoliate the outer layer of the skin to treat mild melasma, mild skin discoloration, mild acne and rough/ dry skin. Medium peels are going to exfoliate the outer layer and into the middle layer of the skin to treat age spots, fine lines, wrinkles, skin discoloration, moderate acne, mild scarring, and the removal of damaged skin cells. Deep peels are going to exfoliate deeply into the middle layer of the skin to treat moderate lines and wrinkles, melasma, age spots, scarring, inflamed acne, and a more dramatic improvement in the skin’s appearance.

LED light therapy is non-invasive, painless, requires no down time, and can be used on any skin type. LED light therapy can increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, kill acne bacteria, decrease inflammation, improve skin tone, texture and clarity, rebuild collagen and elastin, as well as ease muscle and joint pain, stiffness, and arthritis. Children under 12 are not allowed to receive this treatment.

The Celluma Elite destroys acne causing bacteria which aids in preventing future blemishes as well as clearing current blemishes.

Laser

• IPL: Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
  
  Photo facial is a light treatment that targets pigment issues, such as brown spots, sun damage and red spots, and Rosacea. The bright light energy is converted to heat energy and destroys the hyperactive melanin producing cells in the layers of your skin, eventually dispersing pigment producing cells and the uneven pigment. IPL Photo facials can be used on the face, neck, chest, hands, shoulders, back, arms and legs. IPL is also an effective treatment for broken veins and or spider veins. The spots are pulled to the surface, eventually flaking off to reveal beautiful, radiant skin underneath. Patients with a higher Fitzpatrick score, patients with a tan and patients with melasma are not good candidates. For optimal results, 3-5 treatments are typically recommended at four-week intervals. The results improve over time, with best results being seen three months after the last treatment. Sun protection and skin care maintenance are essential to the longevity of the results. Sunburns and over exposure to the sun will bring back old spots and freckles and dullness will return if proper exfoliation during skin care routines is neglected. A new series of treatments are recommended every year for optimal results.

Laser hair removal takes multiple treatments and provided at 4-6-week intervals.

• Sublative Radio Frequency:
  
  Sublative Radio Frequency treatments are known as the new gold standard in the aesthetic field. At ConfiDerm Medical Spa, we use expert technology, the Elos Plus from Syneron.Sublative skin rejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment that uses radio frequency to deliver an effective and controlled fractional treatment to stimulate the skin to make new collagen, while simultaneously tightening the existing collagen to improve wrinkles, acne scars, laxity, large pores, and textural irregularities on the skin. The laser activity from the procedure occurs under the skin, allowing for less downtime for the patient and less post procedure peeling. Sublative Radio Frequency treatments are most effective when done as a series of treatments, with at least 3 treatments being completed, in 4-6-week intervals. Multiple treatments are needed for full effects and you will continue to see your improvements develop, becoming more and more noticeable 2-6 months after your series is completed, with continued improvement and results occurring up to 9-12 months later. Repeating this treatment may be required for some skin types. This series of treatments can also be combined with an IPL to aid in the removal of pigmentation and redness.

During micro-needling, a device with several tiny needles in the tip is moved over the skin, where the needles gently penetrate below the surface of the skin. This stimulates the skin’s natural healing response, increasing the production of collagen and elastin to improve the strength and structure of the skin and tighten visible signs of aging.

Micro-needling has been shown to reduce the visibility of acne scars, fine lines, stretch marks and wrinkles; diminish hyper-pigmentation; and improve skin tone and texture, resulting in smoother, firmer, younger looking skin. The micro-needling process opens up the skin and allows it to better absorb products and serums such as Hyaluronic acid to help optimize results. Hyaluronic acid is a compound that is found naturally in the body, and when absorbed into the skin after micro-needling, it can aid in adding volume to visible signs of aging to smooth and tighten the skin. This special serum is also used to lubricate the skin during treatment, maximizing client comfort while providing nourishing hyaluronic acid to the skin. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a technique that involves drawing your blood, and separating out the protein and growth-factor-rich plasma which can be used in your body and on your skin for regenerative, anti-inflammatory and rejuvenating purposes. The power of our body’s own natural growth factors is here to stimulate healthy new tissue and collagen, and promote healing. Most of our blood is made up of liquid plasma but it also contains many rich components including red and white blood cells and platelets. Platelets help our blood to clot; they also contain countless proteins called growth factors which are key to helping injuries heal. The key to harnessing platelets in our blood is to draw a blood sample and then process it using a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the other parts of the blood. Once we have this concentrated ‘liquid gold’, it can be used for several forms of treatment. We use PRP to care for the skin and to promote new hair growth.

Botox is an FDA approved injection that relaxes the muscles to soften harsh facial expressions. This is a temporary treatment that requires maintenance. Botox will last between 3-4 months depending on how much is administered and your body’s metabolism. Using a very small needle Botox is injected into the facial muscles that create crows’ feet, forehead lines, and frowning. This injection is not an instant result. It takes anywhere from 2-14 days to have its full effect. Botox works in units; a typical patient receives 64 units. The furrowing brow requires 20 units as it is our strongest muscle. Forehead lines requires 20 units to cover the forehead entirety. Crows feet require 12 units per eye, 24 units in total. Botox is the perfect treatment for preventative care. The earlier you start the better the results. The more consistent your treatments the better Botox can aid in the fight of aging. ConfiDerm uses the Accuvein system to minimize any discomfort. As with anything at ConfiDerm, each treatment is designed with you in mind, and we customize each injection based on your wants and needs.

• Juvéderm Ultra

Juvéderm Ultra XC is designed to treat fading lip lines, marionette lines, and treat deeper wrinkles that have occurred over time. It is made out of hyaluronic acid which the body naturally produces and lidocaine to aid in any discomfort after injection. This formula helps to hydrate, smooth and plump. Juvéderm is best injected into the lips to restore shape and pigment back into the lips. Juvéderm lasts up to one year.

• Volbella

Volbella is a beautiful light filler that treats lines around the mouth without giving too much volume in such a delicate area. Volbella is a great product for a gentle lip enhancement. Volbella consists of hyaluronic acid which helps to revive hydration back into this delicate area of the face. Volbella lasts up to one year.

• Vollure

Vollure is designed to treat the mid to lower portion of the face. Vollure is the product to treat nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and even give a soft supple look to the lips. The company Allergan which created Botox and the Juvéderm family of fillers added in Vycross technology. This allows Vollure to contain the optimal ratio of smaller to larger hyaluronic acid molecules to create a soft but firm gel that naturally moves with your facial expressions. Vollure lasts up to 18 months.

• Voluma

Voluma is comprised of a higher percentage of hyaluronic acid which allows Voluma to be able to lift the cheeks. Voluma is designed to correct age related volume loss in the cheeks to create a more youthful appearance. As we age our fat pads under the skin begin to fall, and this filler helps to pick up the skin and revitalize the volume loss. It also aids in softening nasolabial folds. Voluma is a non-surgical injection option to lift and restore a plump youthful appearance. Voluma lasts up to 2 years!

• Kybella

Kybella is designed to contour and sculpt your jawline by PERMANENTLY destroying fat cells in the submental fullness (double chin). Kybella is comprised of deoxycholic acid, which it is naturally found in our bodies to help break down fat from our diet. Kybella can be injected into not only under the chin, but also be injected into front or back bra roll, triceps, fat around the knee and in the middle thigh. Kybella does take 1-4 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart and multiple vials per treatment. Different areas require different amounts and number of treatments. Once Kybella is injected into an area the fat cells can never regrow in that area.
